She began her academic career as an Assistant Professor in Nanjing Tech. Her research work in Nanjing Tech is about the bio-production of lipid nutrition chemicals, including polyunsaturated fatty acids and vitamin K2. Her current research focuses on the modification of the polyunsaturased fatty acid synthase (polyketide-similar) to identify the regulation mechanism of double bonds formation and carbon chain enlongation in oleaginous microorganism.
