During his exchange at the Technical University of Graz in Austria he joined the lab of Prof. Robert Kourist for his Master\u2019s thesis.<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, Mat\u00fa\u0161 started his doctoral studies under the supervision of Jun.-Prof. Stephan Hammer at the University of Stuttgart. The following year, the research group relocated to the University of Bielefeld, Germany. His graduate research primarily focused on engineering enzymes for efficient synthesis of chiral C-O bonds.<\/p>\n<p>Upon earning his doctoral degree in the summer of 2023, Mat\u00fa\u0161 joined our group in Manchester as a postdoctoral research associate.
