During his degree, he completed a yearlong industrial placement with Fiberlean Technologies in Cornwall, working on development of paper and packaging additives using microfibrillated cellulose. He also worked on two shorter synthetic chemistry projects; with <a href=\"https:\/\/leegroup.site.hw.ac.uk\/\">Dr. Ai-Lan Lee<\/a> on gold(I)-catalysed asymmetric synthesis, and with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vilelalab.co.uk\/\">Dr. Filipe Vilela<\/a> on the development of conjugated porous polymers for use in photoredox catalysis.<\/p>\n<p>He joined the Micklefield group in July 2021 as part of the EPSRC-funded iCAT CDT.
